The successful candidate will tell compelling stories about changing neighborhoods, track price fluctuations, and stay on top of condo crises, all while navigating new laws and regulations.

    This beat demands a balance between quick-turn reporting and in-depth analysis to explain the underlying issues driving these changes. The reporter will work closely with other journalists whose beats intersect with real estate, developing deep sources to break exclusives and shed light on emerging trends.

    We're looking for a seasoned journalist with at least five years of experience in a daily newsroom who can think creatively and tell stories with authority and context. Key skills include:

    * A commitment to digital-first storytelling

    * Speed and agility in breaking news and following up on developments

    * Experience analyzing data and creating engaging visuals

    * Strong writing skills for a general audience

    * Ability to engage audiences through social media and live events

    This position is based in South Florida, with flexibility to work remotely or in the newsroom. We're seeking candidates who can produce at least 3-4 weekly stories in various formats, contribute to social media coverage, and demonstrate a strong command of news writing style.
