ovember 24, 2025 – CBS LA. The famed Stahl House, a 2,200‑sq‑ft mid‑century modern icon, is on the market for $25 million, its first listing in over sixty years. Designed in 1960 by Pierre Koenig for Buck and Carlotta Stahl, it was part of John Entenza’s 1945 Case Study House program, which promoted postwar living through industrial materials and replicable designs. The house remains a celebrated example of the program’s aesthetic. The Stahl family has owned it for 65 years. The listing emphasizes that the sale is a transfer of stewardship, seeking a new custodian who will honor its history, preserve its architectural integrity, and protect it for future generations. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.
