rad Simpson, 53, the husband of missing Texas mom Suzanne Simpson, was arrested Wednesday in Kendall County on a family violence charge related to her disappearance. The couple allegedly got into a physical fight at a club in Alamo Heights on Sunday night, according to Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas. A neighbor reported seeing them arguing and physically fighting outside his window before Brad drove off in his pickup truck.
The neighbor claimed he saw Brad grab Suzanne's upper torso area to gain control of her body, and heard screaming coming from a nearby wooded area after they stopped fighting. When the neighbor went outside again, Brad had returned to his truck and driven away. Friends and family have told police there has been tension in the family, and Brad has been uncooperative.
Suzanne, 51, was last seen on Sunday at 11 p.m. wearing a long black dress and black heels. Her friends and family describe her as a loving and reliable person who would not normally just disappear. The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's assistance in finding Suzanne, who has been missing since Sunday night.
Police have found two evidence articles of interest in the woods where they are searching for Suzanne. Brad Simpson was charged with assault causing bodily injury, family violence, and unlawful restraint, and has a $2 million bond.
