ikTok influencer Tabitha Swatosh's moving saga has taken another unexpected turn after she was forced to change the locks at her new home due to a critical security blunder. The 24-year-old had been documenting her move from Los Angeles to Nashville, Tennessee, but her excitement about settling into her new rental property was short-lived.

    After discovering that the original home she was supposed to rent had been sold out from under her, Swatosh found a new place and thought she'd finally settled in. However, she made a grave mistake by sharing a video of her front door keys with her 14.9 million followers, compromising her safety.

    Several concerned fans pointed out that using the same keys as the previous owner could be risky, as it's impossible to know if all the keys have been accounted for. Moreover, sharing an image or video of your keys online can enable potential thieves to create a copy, putting your home at risk of a break-in.

    Security experts warned that even a physical key can reveal sensitive information, such as the brand of lock and the number of pins inside its locking mechanism. This knowledge could be used by a criminal to recreate a key using methods like 3D printing or online locksmithing services.

    Fortunately, Swatosh's boyfriend Michael Sanzone quickly sprang into action, rushing to Home Depot to purchase new locks for their home. He even installed a keypad and numerical code system to prevent his partner from making the same mistake again.

    In a previous video, Swatosh had explained that she and her roommates had opted out of their lease in Tarzana, California, after their friends Warren and Annon decided to move into a new marital home. The couple followed their friends to Nashville but faced a setback when they were told the home they'd signed a lease on had been sold.

    Despite this hiccup, Swatosh's real estate agent managed to secure her another property just days later, which she was excited to call home. However, her joy was short-lived due to the security breach, and it took swift action from Sanzone to rectify the situation.
