T
ennessee's Free Real Estate Licensing Program is now open for high school seniors, offering a unique chance to kick-start their career without breaking the bank. The program, administered by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission, kicked off on April 21, and eligible students can start applying right away.
This innovative initiative allows qualifying seniors to balance real estate coursework with their high school studies, earning money and gaining valuable experience along the way. "We're thrilled to see our young people embracing this opportunity," said TREC Executive Director Denise Beard Baker. "Our updates for 2025 will enhance the program's effectiveness and provide a solid foundation for its participants."
To participate, students must complete a comprehensive pre-licensing course through Kaplan Real Estate Education, covering both Tennessee Affiliate Broker and New Affiliate requirements. Once enrolled, they have 100 days to finish the coursework, followed by state and national real estate exams.
The program has limited spots available – just 150 high school seniors can join each year – so interested students should act quickly to secure their place.
