Trisha Yearwood Sells Tennessee Estate Days Before Garth Brooks Scandal Erupts

Luxurious Suburban Estate Features Five Bedrooms, Seven Baths on Pristine Private Land.

C
ountry singer Garth Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood sold their Tennessee mansion for $3.334 million just a day before allegations of rape and sexual assault surfaced against him. The 6,553-square-foot home in Brentwood, Tennessee features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and is described as a "sanctuary of sophistication and tranquility."

The property was originally listed for sale in May 2023 at $4.5 million before dropping to $3.950 million in April and then $3.8 million in September. Yearwood purchased the home in 2000, five years before she married Brooks in 2005.

The estate boasts two gated entrances and nine surveillance cameras across its 4.42-acre property. The listing describes it as an "extraordinary historic estate" nestled within pristine grounds.

Allegations surfaced on Thursday that a woman who claims to have been Brooks' hairstylist and makeup artist accused him of rape, battery, and other forms of harassment in 2019. Brooks has denied the allegations, comparing them to being threatened with a loaded gun.

The lawsuit alleges that Brooks repeatedly exposed himself, shared explicit messages, and made unwanted advances towards the woman during their time working together. Brooks' attorneys have stated that he will be held accountable for his actions.

Brooks previously filed an anonymous complaint against the accuser, claiming she was attempting to extort him with false allegations. However, her lawyers argue this was a desperate attempt to silence her.
