andlord Sues Brandon Miller's Widow for Unpaid Rent

A lawsuit has been filed against Candice Miller, the widow of Brandon Miller, by Mak Acquisitions, who are demanding $195,000 in unpaid rent for the months of April through August. The apartment in question is a five-bedroom pad on Park Avenue worth $49,000 per month. The lawsuit was filed in a New York state court.

Candice Miller moved into the apartment after selling their Tribeca penthouse for $9 million in 2021. However, she vacated the apartment in August due to her refusal to compensate Mak Acquisitions for their services, according to the lawsuit. She has since relocated to a condo owned by a member of the von Fürstenberg family in Miami Beach.

Lawyers for both parties did not respond to requests for comment on this matter. The lawsuit also mentions that Vladislav Tsirkin, described as the managing agent for Mak Acquisitions, did not respond to a request for comment.

This lawsuit is not the first one Candice Miller has faced since her husband's death in July. Bridge lender Titan Capital has sued her over missed mortgage payments on their Water Mill estate, which is currently on the market for $15 million. Additionally, a lender who financed several of her husband's development projects is trying to collect the $3.6 million balance on a $5 million loan to her late father-in-law.

Brandon Miller left behind a complex web of lawsuits and troubled real estate projects when he died, leaving behind $34 million in personal debts and only $8,000 in his bank account. His estate remains in limbo due to a lack of access to financial records, which are currently in the hands of a lender who took control of the leasehold on a property at 118 10th Avenue days after his death. This lender then filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection but has been unable to obtain any of the financial records, according to court documents.

In conclusion, Candice Miller's legal troubles continue to mount as she faces yet another lawsuit over unpaid rent for the apartment she shared with her late husband. The case serves as a stark reminder of the complex financial web left behind by Brandon Miller when he passed away.
