orthe Real Estate Group is gearing up for its first-ever fund, and has brought in industry veteran Chris Graham as chief investment officer to lead the effort. With over 30 years of experience in investments and management, Graham joins Worthe from Blackstone's real estate group, where he oversaw West Coast acquisitions as managing director.
Graham played a key role in several high-profile joint ventures at Blackstone, including the recapitalization of Sunset Studios and the acquisition of Worthe's Burbank office portfolio. He previously worked at J.P. Morgan and investment management firm Archon Group.
The appointment is seen as a crucial step for Worthe as it launches its inaugural fund, dubbed Worthe Fund 1. The general partner fund will allow investors to purchase, reposition or redevelop properties along the West Coast alongside Worthe. "We have conviction in high-quality office assets," said Jeff Worthe, president of Worthe Real Estate Group. "Leasing activity is picking up and employers are pushing workers back into offices. This fund will invest at a time when others are sitting on the sidelines."
