ake Paul, YouTube icon and professional boxer, has made a massive real estate purchase in Georgia. He bought the 5,600-acre Southlands ranch in Decatur County for $39 million, according to the Robb Report. The property was originally a hunting lodge and now appears to be Paul's private retreat.
On his "Iced Coffee Hour" podcast, Paul revealed that he's been dreaming of buying a ranch for 15 years. He wants to use it for wakesurfing, hunting, building a racetrack, growing his own food, and communing with nature. The purchase was made possible by the $30 million he earned from a recent pay-per-view boxing match against Mike Tyson.
The transaction was brokered by Jon Kohler & Associates, which described Paul's purchase as "one of the most expensive private land purchases in Georgia history." The property has a rich history dating back nearly 100 years and has been owned by several notable individuals, including conservationist Herbert Stoddard and lumber giant International Paper.
