Kreativ München has opened the application phase for the next incubation round at the RUFFINIHAUS Creative Hub on Rindermarkt. From 15 February 2027, twelve attractive workspaces will once again be available for participants from the cultural and creative industries. The offer is aimed at self-employed individuals, entrepreneurs and creative teams who have their company headquarters in Munich, wish to establish a business here, or relocate to Munich, with the aim of further developing their company and networking within the industry.
The RUFFINIHAUS Creative Hub is an incubator specifically tailored to the needs of the cultural and creative industries. Over a period of two years, users not only receive a workspace in a prestigious building in the heart of Munich, but also benefit from professional support from Kreativ München. This support package includes advisory and qualification services, networking events, peer-learning formats, and active community management that fosters exchange and collaboration within the creative community.
A key component of the programme is the opportunity to use the pop-up shop on Rindermarkt for two weeks as part of a collaborative project. This offers participants a platform to present their own projects, products or services to a wide audience. The twelve available rooms range in size from 16 to 28 square metres and can be occupied individually or collectively. All units are unfurnished and are allocated for a period of 24 months. Additionally, community and meeting rooms are available for shared use.
Significance for Munich as a Creative Location
Dr Christian Scharpf, Head of the Department for Labour and Economic Affairs, emphasised the importance of the RUFFINIHAUS Creative Hub as a targeted investment in the strength of Munich's cultural and creative industries. Over the past six years, the hub has established itself as a vital location for creative entrepreneurship. It offers creative businesses the opportunity to network, develop further and increase their visibility in a central location. Especially in times of increasing scarcity of suitable and affordable workspaces in central areas, the RUFFINIHAUS creates important prospects for the future of Munich as a creative location.
For participation in the incubation programme, a project contribution of EUR 22 per square metre plus 19 per cent value-added tax is charged. This amount includes all incidental costs as well as the accompanying advisory, networking and qualification services. The call for applications is aimed at companies and self-employed individuals from various sub-markets of the cultural and creative industries.
