The Beverly Hills estate once belonging to pop icon Taylor Swift has come onto the market for US$7.995 million. The property, also known as the Pillsbury Estate, is said to be the location where Swift worked on her Grammy-winning album "1989". Swift acquired the estate in 2011 for US$3.55 million and sold it off-market in 2018 to fashion designer Nicolas Bijan and his wife, interior designer Roxy Bijan. The couple has since extensively renovated the 1927-built home, transforming the interiors while retaining the exterior grounds and the country house-inspired design.
Details of the Property and its History
The property is located in Beverly Hills, California, and spans 4,360 square feet of living space on a 1.37-acre plot. It features four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Notable features include a guarded entrance, a gourmet kitchen, an atrium-style breakfast room, a master suite with two bathrooms, a separate guesthouse, a pickleball court, outdoor fire pits, as well as brick terraces and a two-car garage. The marketing is handled by Drew and Dean Mandile of Sotheby’s International Realty, Beverly Hills Brokerage.
Access to Taylor Swift's former Beverly Hills estate is via a guarded entrance leading to a bridge that opens onto the main house's motor court, which can accommodate eight vehicles. Surrounded by about a dozen mature oak trees, the three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom house sits next to a terraced hillside.
Insights into the Interiors and Exterior Grounds
Upon entering the main house, the front door opens to a black and white chequered stone floor, along which a staircase ascends. Through an arched doorway next to the staircase is a garden-facing office, painted in a deep shade of green, with bookshelves integrated into the back wall. Across the hall, the living room opens via a wall of French doors to the side terrace, with the main seating area arranged in front of a double-sided fireplace. Built-in shelves and cabinets line both sides of the fireplace, and a wet bar is discreetly tucked away at one end of the room. Around the corner lies the formal dining room, also within an arch, with a long white table central to the room in front of a series of tall windows.
Further down the hall, the renovated kitchen opens around a large, marble-topped island offering seating on one side, with a brass bridge tap extending over the centre. Light blue cabinetry frames the room, while open wooden shelves and a geometric tile mosaic frame the hob. Near the kitchen is an atrium-style breakfast room, surrounded by windows and French doors, with a large skylight providing additional brightness. A built-in banquette runs along one wall around a glass table, and the surrounding doors lead directly to the outdoor terrace with a BBQ area.
The master suite is located on the ground floor, with the bedroom featuring multiple French doors that open to the grounds. The suite is divided into two separate bathrooms and dressing rooms. The first bathroom presents a soft, feminine design, with a freestanding pink bathtub beneath the windows. Opposite the bath is a glazed shower, and to the side, a vanity area is set up under a gold-framed mirror. The second bathroom is more streamlined, combining a marble-topped vanity with a glazed marble shower, and opens through an arched passageway to its own walk-in wardrobe. This wardrobe is fitted with custom built-ins on all sides, including hanging storage, drawers, and a complete wall of individually lit shoe compartments at the far end.

Upstairs are the house's two secondary bedrooms, separate from the master suite, which share a bathroom. The first bedroom is decorated in yellow tones, with matching curtains framing two windows on the back wall. A pale pink sofa forms a small seating area opposite the bed, while floral details and white bedding balance the brightness of the room. Across the hall, the second bedroom features a large accent wall with an animal print against deep blue walls. Mustard-coloured cushions provide contrast, while a cane daybed and an acrylic cot continue the more playful design of the room.
Separate from the main house, the detached one-bedroom guesthouse serves as a self-contained residence with a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and a separate bedroom. The living area opens under vaulted, exposed wooden beam ceilings, with sliding doors framing the bedroom beyond. Across the room, the kitchen features light yellow cabinets, marble worktops and splashbacks, and a small central island for casual dining. Outdoors, the remaining 1.37 acres include a series of garden areas beneath the estate's old oak trees. At the rear of the house is a brick terrace set up for dining and relaxation, complemented by fountains, fire pits, and a built-in BBQ.
