BBE Handelsberatung GmbH and MAGG Kommunikationsgesellschaft mbH have signed a cooperation agreement providing for close collaboration in the fields of retail consultancy, urban development and strategic communication. This cooperation aims to synergistically leverage the respective expertise of both companies.
BBE Handelsberatung brings over 70 years of experience in location and market analysis, as well as in the development of municipal retail concepts and property utilisation concepts. This also includes support for planning approval procedures. In addition, MAGG Kommunikationsgesellschaft offers expertise in strategic communication, moderation, coaching and stakeholder management, particularly in the municipal and political environment.
Complementary Expertise for Complex Projects
Andreas Magg, managing partner of MAGG Kommunikationsgesellschaft, has more than 20 years of experience as First Mayor of Olching, as well as a district and regional councillor. His education includes studies in geography at the Technical University of Munich and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich. He is currently the finance officer for the district council in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck. Markus Wotruba, head of location and property consulting at BBE, emphasised that this combination of profound retail and location expertise with professional stakeholder management opens up new opportunities, especially for complex municipal projects.
The cooperation aims to enable early alignment of projects with local conditions through sound stakeholder analyses, given increasingly complex project requirements. MAGG's understanding of administrative procedures and political processes complements BBE Handelsberatung's economic and regulatory expertise. This creates added value for the clients of both consulting firms.
MAGG's clients receive support in assessing the feasibility of their projects. BBE clients benefit from target-group-oriented communication with municipal and political decision-makers. A further focus of the collaboration is supporting private and municipal clients regarding the planning law amendment announced for 1 January 2027, which is expected to generate significant demand for advice. The partners intend to work together with specialist lawyers to develop legally sound solutions in this area.
