Munich-based BUCHER Properties GmbH is initiating a new development project in the Glockenbachviertel, a central and sought-after location in Munich, just in time for Expo Real. The undertaking, located near Gärtnerplatz and between Viktualienmarkt and the Isar, includes a boutique project with 21 condominiums, supplementary studio spaces, and a restaurant.

The construction project is the result of a comprehensive planning phase, preceded by an intensive examination of the historical building structure and the character of the district. The realisation is being carried out in cooperation with the Munich architectural firm be_planen, led by Birgit Bucher. The design aims to ensure harmonious integration into the partially listed environment, while simultaneously establishing a modern and clear formal language.

Architectural Concept and Facade Design

The architectural concept is based on a reinterpretation of historicist facade ornamentation. The identity-defining facade of the townhouse on Fraunhoferstraße is characterised by a wave-like movement that enlivens the streetscape. A notable feature of the project is the use of innovative 3D printing technology for the facade. This technology enables a precise, sculptural, and advanced design, which is considered exceptional in Munich in this form.

The sales of the units will be conducted in cooperation with INVENTIO Projectpartner GmbH from Munich. INVENTIO has already advised BUCHER Properties GmbH during the planning phase and is now responsible for the sale of the condominiums. A showroom for presenting the project and the curated furnishing lines will be set up opposite the project at Fraunhoferstraße 22 from mid-October 2026. There, interested parties can obtain detailed information and receive comprehensive advice.
