The VILLAGE IM DRITTEN in Vienna has announced the completion of the PARK FLATS. This residential complex represents the final component of a long-planned and realised joint development project by ARE and UBM. With this handover to the user companies, a significant construction phase in the development of the area concludes.
The PARK FLATS comprise three separate buildings with a total of approximately 400 residential units. The concept of these residential buildings aimed at integration into the existing urban environment. The development is characterised by a consistent focus on aspects of sustainability and efficient use of space, which is reflected in the design and the materials used.
Location and Urban Context
VILLAGE IM DRITTEN is conceived as an area that combines the advantages of urban living with a park-like design. Its central location in Vienna's third municipal district offers connection to the city's infrastructure, while the internal structure of the quarter is geared towards a high quality of life. The completion of the PARK FLATS complements the existing offering and increases the density of the quarter while maintaining its open space concepts.
The collaboration between ARE and UBM in the development of VILLAGE IM DRITTEN encompassed more than five construction projects, which were realised in stages. Each of these projects contributed to the successive shaping of the area. The conclusion with the PARK FLATS marks the end point of a multi-year development phase aimed at creating a coherent living and residential environment.
Project Scope and Infrastructure
The entire development of VILLAGE IM DRITTEN was designed with comprehensive infrastructure, including not only residential space but also supplementary facilities and services. The PARK FLATS, as the newest part of this development, integrate into this overall concept. The project partners emphasised architecture that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing and integrates into the overarching design of the area. The realisation stands for a successful implementation of a comprehensive urban development project in Vienna.
