Deepki, a market-leading SaaS platform for the real estate industry, has announced the acquisition of UK-based Camion. Camion is considered a pioneer in agent-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the real estate sector. This integration of Camion's AI technology with Deepki's platform and proprietary data is intended to intensify the support provided to Deepki's international client base and enable novel insights for future-proofing property portfolios, particularly through electrification and energy generation and storage systems.

The integration of these competencies is intended to help Deepki's clients identify profitable investments, reduce energy costs, and secure access to energy. This serves to maximise portfolio values, minimise risks, and enhance the resilience of real estate portfolios. Experts estimate that the global shift towards electrification holds an investment potential of USD 7 trillion. According to BloombergNEF, electricity is expected to cover 66 percent of global energy demand by 2050.

Real estate companies that act early in this area secure competitive advantages. The integration of Camion's expertise in electrification is intended to support property owners in deploying capital purposefully and realising returns faster. Potential effects include an increase in the net operating income (NOI) of sites by up to 40 percent through optimised modernisations, and an acceleration of acquisition and financing due diligence (underwriting) for new energy assets by 90 percent.

Technological Synergies and Client Benefits

The acquisition is based on linking Deepki's proprietary data foundation, which includes over 500,000 properties in 95 countries, with Camion's agent-based AI. This combined technology is intended to create a solution that enables clients to make informed decisions for their portfolios. Vincent Bryant, CEO and Co-founder of Deepki, stated that the acquisition represents a transformative milestone aimed at increasing value for clients. He highlighted that the combination of Camion's electrification models with Deepki's AI lab provides a technological edge and offers institutional investors an AI-powered platform to protect gross asset value (GAV) and secure long-term value across global portfolios. Mr. Bryant also emphasised that Deepki welcomes Camion's experienced team, which includes professionals from companies such as Tesla and Palantir.

Jacob Monroe, CEO and Co-founder of Camion Energy, explained that Camion was founded on the conviction that institutional real estate portfolios offer significant opportunities for the profitable deployment of energy with zero marginal costs. A combination of Camion's domain-specific agent-based AI platform with Deepki's data foundation and client base can accelerate the clean energy transition and drive the deployment of the USD 7 trillion projected for electrification in the coming decades.

Global Presence and Strategic Development

This acquisition is the fourth strategic acquisition for Deepki since its founding in 2014. Camion brings a track record of serving leading global players and institutional investors in the UK and US markets. This expertise complements Deepki's international presence and is intended to enable clients to gain localised market insights, supported by global scalability. The transaction ensures business continuity. Existing Camion clients retain access to their contacts and technologies. Simultaneously, Deepki's over 600 clients in its global network gain the opportunity to utilise these AI functions. The goal is to enable asset managers and owners to translate sustainability commitments into measurable financial and environmental successes.
