German NBA point guard Dennis Schröder has put his estate in the greater Los Angeles area on the market for $6 million. The basketball professional acquired the property in Tarzana in 2021 for $4.275 million during his first stint with the Los Angeles Lakers. Following his move to the Charlotte Hornets, Schröder is now parting with the seven-bedroom property, which sits behind private gates south of Ventura Boulevard.
Open-plan layouts and high-end fittings
The main residence offers 6,978 square feet of living space with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The ground floor is open-plan: the entrance area leads directly into the rear living space, which features a dark natural stone fireplace and large-format Fleetwood sliding glass doors opening to the garden. This is adjoined by the dining room, followed by a kitchen with an expansive island unit, bespoke dark cabinetry, Sub-Zero refrigeration technology, and white stone worktops. Beneath the curved staircase to the upper floor is a small wine room lined with white brickwork.
The private wing on the upper floor is dominated by the primary suite. The bedroom features another stone fireplace and access to a balcony overlooking the grounds. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a deep free-standing bath, a glazed walk-in shower, and a covered balcony. The suite is complemented by two separate dressing rooms with fitted wardrobes. A darkened home cinema with tiered seating completes the accommodation in the main house.
Guest house and outdoor sports facilities
Alongside the main residence, the estate includes a detached, two-storey guest house spanning over 1,100 square feet. The building features herringbone parquet, a compact kitchen, one bedroom, and three bathrooms in total. The grounds are seamlessly designed for leisure and relaxation, connecting the main house to the outbuildings via a manicured lawn.
- —Infinity pool with integrated spa and covered lounge terrace with fireplace
- —Dedicated basketball court with multiple hoops at the rear of the plot
- —Roof terrace with bar and panoramic views across the neighbourhood treetops
- —Control4 home automation system and triple garage
The sale comes in the context of Schröder's sporting career. Following two separate spells with the Los Angeles Lakers, his most recent engagement with the Californian franchise concluded in 2023. With his contract at the Charlotte Hornets, the playmaker is relocating his primary base, which is why the custom-appointed estate is now to be passed on to new owners via estate agent Michael Henderson.
