The ERBUD Group has announced a strategic reorientation of its activities, which includes ceasing further investments in the modular construction company MOD21. This decision explicitly concerns the modular timber construction segment, while all other business areas of the ERBUD Group will continue unchanged. The company plans to increasingly focus on the industrial services and renewable energy segments in the German market in the future.
For the MOD21 modular construction division, which has completed over 20 projects since its market entry in Germany, this means a setback. However, the ERBUD Group assures that all existing contractual obligations will be met. Ongoing MOD21 projects will be completed as agreed, and all existing warranty claims will remain fully valid. This ensures the continuation of the operational handling of already initiated ventures.
Background to the Strategic Reorientation
This adjustment to the group's strategy is due to significantly changed framework conditions in the European construction and real estate market. In particular, rising interest rates, noticeably restrained investment activity, and dampened demand for larger new-build projects have significantly impacted the development of the modular construction business. These external factors led to a re-evaluation of investment priorities within the group.
Dariusz Grzeszczak, CEO of the ERBUD Group, emphasised that the decision not to make further investments in MOD21 was not an easy one. He pointed out that the economic and geopolitical conditions have fundamentally changed since the company's inception. At the same time, the ERBUD Group sees long-term growth opportunities in the energy transition and industrial services, on which the company's resources will be increasingly focused in the future.
Focus on New Growth Areas
The strategic decision thus reflects an adaptation to macroeconomic developments and a proactive alignment with promising sectors. By concentrating on industrial services and renewable energy in the German market, the ERBUD Group strengthens its position in areas considered more resilient to current market volatilities and offering long-term potential. The adjustment is based on a thorough analysis of the market and internal capacities.

- —Fulfilment of all existing contractual obligations and warranties.
- —Focus on industrial services and renewable energy in Germany.
- —Adaptation to changed market conditions such as interest rate increases and reduced willingness to invest.
