Nationwide fitness service provider FitX is expanding its presence in Rhineland-Palatinate. The company has signed a lease agreement for a commercial property in Mainz with a term of ten years and six months. A new studio is planned to open at Mombacher Kreisel 2 in the Mombach district. The total area for the new location amounts to almost 2,700 square metres. This space will be located on the first upper floor of the building concerned.
The choice of the location at Mombacher Kreisel is due to its excellent accessibility. A direct connection to the motorway facilitates access from Wiesbaden and the surrounding area. Furthermore, numerous parking spaces are available on site, for both sole and shared use. The connection to public transport via stops within walking distance creates additional advantages for members of the future fitness studio.
Contract negotiations were successfully conducted with Schäfer & Söhne eGbR. A concrete date for the handover of the premises or for the opening of the studio has not yet been set, as planning is still in an early stage. The design of the studios will follow the established FitX standards, thereby ensuring a modern training environment.
Isabelle Schriever, Team Lead Real Estate at FitX, commented on the expansion: the aim is to further improve the offering for members in Mainz and to increase accessibility in the region through the new location. The goal is to establish the “Fitness FOR ALL OF US” concept, which focuses on seven training areas and a wide range of options for users of all ages, fitness levels, and experience. Sebastian Schäfer from Schäfer & Söhne eGbR confirmed the strategic partnership and sees FitX as a suitable operator that will enrich the local offering and contribute to the health promotion of the population.
