The former home of model and entrepreneur Winnie Harlow in Tarzana, California, is back on the market, with an asking price of $4.5 million. This comes just over two years after Harlow sold the property. She sold the five-bedroom house at the time to Zerina Akers, Beyoncé's personal stylist and Emmy-winning costume designer, for $3.6 million.
Located south of Ventura Boulevard, the property combines modern farmhouse architecture on the exterior with an open-plan interior. Characteristic features include oak flooring, coffered ceilings, designer lighting, and several fireplaces. The living space spans 4,847 square feet, distributed across five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
Amenities and Features
Upon entering the house, the entrance opens directly into the living room, which is arranged around a black marble fireplace. A curved cream-coloured sofa and upholstered armchairs are grouped around a round wooden table. The coffered ceiling adds structure to the room, while white wainscoting adorns the lower half of the walls, and wide oak plank floors run throughout the ground floor.
The open-plan design leads directly from the living room into the dining area, which houses a rectangular glass table with chairs in shades of grey, black, and white. A large, woven light fixture made of blue natural fibres accentuates the area above the table. Adjacent is the kitchen, designed as a bright workspace with a large, dark island with a stone top and white cabinets. Thermador appliances, a farmhouse sink, and a spacious walk-in pantry complete the functionality. A compact breakfast nook with bench seating overlooks the garden.
Beyond the kitchen, the floor plan opens to a family room with its own fireplace. A large, curved black sofa dominates the room, while wide doors allow direct access to the garden. A custom-built bar with black-and-white stone surfaces and hand-carved wooden stools, as well as a glass wine cellar showcasing an extensive bottle collection, complement the entertainment options in the family room.
Private Areas and Outdoor Facilities
Next to the main living areas is a “Glam Room” with a long marble vanity top under an illuminated mirror and built-in wardrobes. The primary suite upstairs features a high vaulted ceiling, a fireplace, and French doors leading to a private balcony. Two separate walk-in wardrobes offer custom white cabinetry, illuminated shelving, and display spaces for shoes and handbags. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a freestanding bathtub and an oversized, glass-enclosed steam shower.
Surrounded by tall hedges, the garden begins with an open-air terrace directly behind the house, ideal for dining, relaxation, and barbecues. Beyond this, the swimming pool and elevated spa area extend, into which a cascading waterfall flows. A paved path leads to a small lawn, bordered by white walls and tall trees.

For Harlow, the sale of the property in 2024 marked the conclusion of a personal chapter as she prepared for a long-distance move. She described her departure from the house as “bittersweet”, given the memories made there, but also expressed anticipation for what was to come. The house, which subsequently passed to Akers, offered the privacy, entertainment areas, and secluded garden that were so important to Harlow. These features are now being offered to another potential owner, as the Tarzana estate begins its next chapter.
