Habyt opened its first aparthotel in Vienna on 1 August 2024. The location, Habyt Vienna, is situated in the Nordbahnviertel district and represents one of the larger aparthotel projects realised in the Austrian capital this year. With this opening, Habyt expands the brand's presence in Austria. Habyt's takeover of the premises on Bruno-Marek-Allee, developed by STRABAG Real Estate, already took place in May.
Habyt Vienna comprises 319 fully equipped studios and apartments. In addition, modern communal areas such as lounges and co-working spaces are available. The service offering includes a wellness area and a fitness studio. The flexibility of the units allows for stays of varying durations, from single nights to several weeks or months. Bookings can be made via the Habyt homepage.
Concept and Design
Lucas Bovone, CEO of Habyt, sees Habyt Vienna as setting a new standard for aparthotels. The concept combines the autonomy of a private apartment with the comfort and services of a high-quality aparthotel. The offering targets business travellers as well as individuals spending extended periods in Vienna. Facilities include design elements, a wellness centre with sauna and fitness studio, co-working spaces and gastronomic options. The hotel is located in the Nordbahnviertel, a development area in Vienna. The building's facade is greened.
Its location near Praterstern, the Prater and Donauinsel offers a combination of urban connectivity and proximity to recreational areas. The vicinity to corporate locations, the VIECON Congress Center and transport hubs makes the location ideal for business travellers, project teams and conference attendees. Habyt Vienna thus addresses the demand for flexible accommodation solutions and aims to provide a temporary home.

The design of the property integrates warm wood surfaces, natural light and a restrained colour palette to create a timeless and homely atmosphere in the communal areas. The apartments are equipped with their own kitchen or kitchenette. Fast Wi-Fi and functional workspaces are available for mobile working. Habyt Vienna was realised with a focus on resource-efficient materials and sustainable construction methods, including CO₂-optimised concrete with reduced clinker content and sheep's wool insulation.
Sustainability and Functionality
Productivity is a key focus due to the proximity to important congress centres and corporate locations in Vienna. Habyt Vienna offers companies a flexible solution that combines productive work and recreation, and supports ESG goals. Laura Gonzalez Gil, VP of Design & Technical Services at Habyt, highlights that bright, natural materials and warm colour schemes were used to create an environment that allows for both retreat and interaction. The aim was to combine the comfort and services of an aparthotel with the independence of one's own apartment.
