Real estate agencies could be overlooking potential business opportunities hidden within their existing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. This is according to a new study that analysed the use and perceived potential of these systems.

The survey, which included numerous agency executives, revealed that a significant proportion of respondents recognise the untapped earnings potential dormant in their databases. Specifically, 82.4% of surveyed agency leaders stated that they believe their CRM systems contain unused revenue potential.

Underutilised Resources and Strategies

This finding suggests that while many companies are aware of the value their customer databases represent, they often lack the strategic or operational capacity to fully unlock this value. The results imply a discrepancy between the perceived opportunity and the actual implementation of data-driven marketing and sales strategies.

The continuous collection of customer data is a fundamental prerequisite for successful relationship management. Nevertheless, many estate agencies appear not to have implemented the necessary processes or technologies to effectively utilise the collected information for targeted outreach, cross-selling, or identifying new business areas. Investment in CRM systems is thus often only a first step, which should be followed by a consistent further development of data analysis and customer retention.

Experts point out that a more proactive use of existing data could not only increase customer satisfaction but also significantly improve the efficiency of marketing campaigns. Optimising existing CRM databases therefore represents a strategic priority to achieve sustainable success in the competitive landscape and to realise hidden potential.

Unlocking Potential

  • Identifying customer segments for targeted offers.
  • Proactively approaching potential sellers or buyers based on historical data.
  • Analysing preferences and needs to personalise service.
  • More efficient design of marketing activities through data-based campaigns.
