InfiniG, an enterprise mobile platform for commercial real estate, announced on Tuesday that it has closed a US$5.2 million seed funding round. The round was led by early-stage venture capital firms J2 Ventures and Stormbreaker Ventures.

InfiniG, based in Los Gatos, California, intends to use the funding to expand its "Mobile Coverage as a Service" (MCaaS) product deployments, automate mobile operator integration, scale InfiniG Insights, and further develop platform automation and physical artificial intelligence.

InfiniG's MCaaS platform allows building owners to implement neutral-host, multi-carrier indoor mobile coverage without the complexity and costs of traditional Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS). The platform also creates an upgradable foundation for future 5G services, private wireless networks, physical AI, and connected building applications.

Challenges in Traditional Mobile Rollout

Joel Lindholm, co-founder and CEO of InfiniG, explained that traditionally, mobile operators such as AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile have provided coverage. However, the processes, which have been in use for 10 to 20 years, required deploying their own technologies and personnel in each individual building, which was very restrictive. This resulted in only the largest buildings or venues having comprehensive coverage. Many buildings in the United States, including hospitals, hotels, offices, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities, are therefore without adequate coverage.

InfiniG's solution aims to bridge this gap by enabling coverage for thousands of buildings, instead of just hundreds, as the traditional model dictates. Lindholm emphasised the need for a new approach for the next decade, as the 10 to 20-year-old technologies are no longer satisfactory.

Standardised Solution and Cost Savings

InfiniG utilises Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), a non-carrier-specific spectrum, to provide a single radio infrastructure within a building that is shared by all mobile operators. The property owner installs the infrastructure, and InfiniG connects the property to mobile operators via its cloud-based platform. According to Lindholm, InfiniG has standardised the deployment process and reduced the cost for a mobile operator to join a network by 5 percent, making participation more attractive for carriers.

For customers, InfiniG significantly reduces costs by eliminating the need for individual contracts with each carrier and obviating special legal agreements. The company standardises these processes, lowers the cost of physical infrastructure in the building, and can deploy the entire solution as a service within less than three months.

InfiniG was founded in 2023 and originated at Meta while Lindholm was employed there. He recognised that while Meta owned large buildings with traditional coverage, most medium or smaller buildings required a new method for providing employee coverage. The scalability of InfiniG's MCaaS platform was a key attraction for investors.

Said Mia, Managing Partner and co-founder of Stormbreaker Ventures, stated that InfiniG is modernising a market that is still constrained by deployment models designed for a small number of premium locations. The InfiniG team is uniquely qualified to identify and solve this problem, having developed and operated this model at Meta, one of the largest and most complex companies in the world.

Alexander Harstrick, Managing Partner and co-founder of J2 Ventures, added as part of the funding announcement that the US military and public sector increasingly require commercial technologies that strengthen critical infrastructure, healthcare, and communications. InfiniG fits well with this investment thesis as the company is building resilient, scalable mobile infrastructure for essential operations and future AI-powered systems.
