J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM) and i Live, operating as a joint venture, have completed the acquisition of a plot of land in Berlin. The site is located at Lützowstraße 74. A student hall of residence with approximately 350 residential units is planned for development on this area. The completion of the construction project is targeted for 2029.

BME Group acted as the seller of the land. The transaction was arranged by Cushman & Wakefield. Legal advice for J.P. Morgan Asset Management was provided by Hogan Lovells, while BME Group was legally advised by K&L Gates. Confidentiality was agreed upon regarding the specific terms of the acquisition.

Strategic Focus in the Managed Living Segment

This undertaking in Berlin is an integral part of JPMAM's European Managed Living platform. The platform focuses on the development of high-quality and modern student accommodation in European metropolitan areas that exhibit increasing demand in this segment. The realisation of the project on Lützowstraße underscores this strategic direction.

The creation of contemporary living solutions for students forms a core area of both partners' investment strategy. By combining the respective expertise of J.P. Morgan Asset Management and i Live, an asset is to be created that meets the requirements for modern student living while also contributing to meeting the demand in the Berlin market.

The development of the site at Lützowstraße 74 represents a targeted investment in the German real estate market. It contributes to diversifying the portfolio in the so-called Managed Living sector and strengthening its presence in significant European educational centres. The planning extending to 2029 highlights the long-term nature of this commitment.
