The engineering, consulting and construction firm KCI Technologies is relocating its corporate headquarters within the US state of Maryland, moving approximately 300 employees from Sparks to Hunt Valley. The company has signed a lease for 53,344 square feet within St. John Properties' 23-acre North Park business complex. KCI Technologies will occupy two and a half floors at 6 North Park Drive.

The relocation is planned for the second quarter of 2027. KCI Technologies cited the North Baltimore County location's proximity to its employees and its advantageous access to the Interstate 83 corridor as reasons for its choice. The company operates nearly 70 offices across 20 US states and Washington, D.C., and employs more than 2,500 people worldwide.

Return to Former Roots

The current lease represents something of a return for KCI, as the company previously had its headquarters at 10 North Park Drive for almost two decades, starting in the 1990s. This lease agreement follows St. John Properties' acquisition of the North Park complex last summer and a subsequent USD 2 million investment programme for property improvements.

Earlier this year, Solar Gaines also signed a lease for 15,036 square feet at 4 North Park to relocate its headquarters and approximately 40 employees. Stephanie Caronna represented the landlord for St. John Properties, while Joe Bradley and Mark Deering of MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services represented KCI Technologies.
