Casualfood GmbH has announced a comprehensive reorganisation of its leadership team. This measure aims to support the company's further development and strengthen operational control. A particular feature of this restructuring is the establishment of an internal management team, which will assume operational responsibility with immediate effect.
The new leadership trio comprises Christiane Schaffranka, Rebecca Wolf and Markus Weiler. With this appointment, Casualfood underscores its commitment to continuity and the utilisation of internal competencies, which is intended to be reflected in a strong proximity to operational business. As part of this restructuring, the former CEO Jörn Niewiadomsky and CFO Tobias Engel are leaving the company.
Responsibilities within the new structure
The areas of responsibility have been clearly defined to ensure efficient management. Christiane Schaffranka has been appointed Director Operations and is responsible for the operational management of general managers, including inventory management, as well as training and processes. Rebecca Wolf takes over as Director Corporate Functions, leading the HR, Marketing, Business Development, Sustainability and Project Management departments. The position of Director Business Services & Procurement is filled by Markus Weiler, who is responsible for IT, Purchasing and Inventory Management, Health & Safety, Culinary, and Quality Management. The CFO function will be temporarily assumed by Sacha Gerber, CFO of the ORIOR Group, while a permanent appointment is carefully evaluated.
The new leadership team is supplemented and supported by external expertise. The company founders, Michael Weigel and Stefan Weber, serve as advisors. In addition, there will be close cooperation with ORIOR board members Monika Friedli-Walser and Monika Schüpbach. This extended support is intended to promote the strategic direction and implementation of the company's objectives.
Strategic Objectives and Market Orientation
The reorganisation is an integral part of Casualfood's strategic further development. The company intends to further expand and consolidate its position as a provider of catering services for travellers – particularly at airports and other transport hubs. The desired strengthening of the market position is based on the aspiration to be an agile, creative, and efficient partner in travel catering. The implementation of the new leadership structure is intended to ensure a high level of decision-making ability and continued operational proximity.
