The Mayburgh Group continues its expansion in the hotel sector by taking over the so-called Hagedorn portfolio. The property package comprises hotel locations in Essen, Munich, Leipzig and Bottrop. As part of the acquisition, Mayburgh is taking over the operating company, including ongoing operations and employees, thereby further expanding the group's market presence as an operator in Germany. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
The transaction was brokered by advisory firm Nowa Hotel Real Estate. An established business relationship already exists between Mayburgh and the broker: Nowa Hotel has been advising the group on leaseholds and strategic acquisitions in the German market for some time.
Portfolio expansion and previous transactions
For Nowa Hotel, the transaction joins a series of larger portfolio deals. The company previously brokered the Uno portfolio, which comprised 544 rooms across locations in Hamburg, Cologne, Wolfsburg, Stralsund and Uelzen, and was sold to OYO.

Rudi Toni Nowaczyk, founder of Nowa Hotel Real Estate, stated on the occasion of the completion that viable solutions can be achieved even in a challenging market environment. The decisive factor, he noted, is aligning the interests of owners, operators and investors at an early stage and developing a stable structure.
