MHP Hotel AG has appointed Hanspeter Soller, an experienced hotelier, as Area General Manager for its properties in Vienna. This appointment significantly expands the 50-year-old manager's scope of responsibility. In addition to his existing role as General Manager of Le Méridien Vienna, Soller will now assume overarching responsibility for the Hyatt Regency Vienna and the future Sheraton Vienna.
Through this structural adjustment, MHP is consolidating the operational leadership and further development of its three establishments. The new Area General Manager possesses long-standing knowledge of the Vienna market and the company. At the Hyatt Regency Vienna, Francesco Camello will lead daily operations as Director Operations and will cooperate closely with Mr Soller.
Strategic Development and Repositioning
A central task in Hanspeter Soller's new area of responsibility is the takeover and repositioning of the current Hotel Savoyen Vienna. MHP Hotel AG will take over hotel operations in 2027 and, after extensive modernisation, will establish the property under the Sheraton brand in the market. Mr Soller will lead the future team during this takeover and conversion phase. Initial sample rooms have already been implemented on-site for the new Sheraton Vienna.

Hanspeter Soller, a native of Salzburg from Bramberg am Wildkogel, possesses long-standing expertise in international top-tier hotel management. His previous positions include the W Barcelona, whose pre-opening and opening he oversaw as Hotel Manager, as well as various leadership roles in resort hotel management at ROBINSON. Prior to his role as head of Le Méridien Vienna, Mr Soller successfully served as General Manager of Le Méridien Stuttgart for MHP.
Vienna Market Gains Importance
Mr Soller looks forward to his expanded responsibilities with anticipation and described Vienna as an extraordinarily exciting and dynamic hotel market. He expressed his pleasure in developing three different establishments together with their teams in the future. He has been involved with Le Méridien for many years. With the Hyatt Regency and the future Sheraton, two further strong addresses and brands are now being added. His focus is on sharpening the individual strengths of each establishment while simultaneously leveraging valuable synergies within the Vienna cluster.
