Canadian premium outerwear brand Moose Knuckles is entering the European market with a dedicated store, taking up retail premises at Kurfürstendamm 200 in Berlin. The new location comprises around 180 square metres of lettable space and represents the company's first standalone shop on the European continent.
Expansion of the Canadian outerwear label
The move to the renowned Berlin address marks an important milestone in the label's international expansion. Moose Knuckles was founded in Montréal in 2009 and has established itself with high-grade jackets and parkas. The brand combines functional materials with urban lifestyle and luxurious design, with a portfolio encompassing clothing and accessories for men and women alongside its core outerwear segment.
The previous tenant of the unit was Danish rainwear and lifestyle brand Rains. A sophisticated interior concept was selected for the new presence on Kurfürstendamm: design elements featuring natural stone, warm wood and metallic accents define the interior architecture, underscoring the brand's positioning within the boulevard's established premium segment.
Brokered by Lührmann and Newmark
Real estate consultancies Lührmann and Newmark collaborated closely on leasing the retail space. Simon Frank, Authorized Signatory Retail Leasing at Lührmann's Berlin office who handled the transaction, emphasised that brokering the first European store for an international brand was a notable mandate. He added that the Canadian label would enrich Berlin's Kurfürstendamm with its high-quality outerwear and distinctive design.
