The new Edelweiss Hub recently officially opened in The Circle area at Zurich Airport. This new development represents a significant expansion of Edelweiss's presence at the location and establishes a versatile platform for travel inspiration, exchange, and internal use. The opening took place on 25 August 2026 as part of a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Attendees included Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss, Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss, as well as Lydia Naef, Chief Real Estate Officer, and Stefan Feldmann, Head The Circle, from Flughafen Zürich AG.
The Edelweiss Hub extends over two floors, offering a differentiated usage concept across a total of 300 m². The ground floor is primarily designed as a publicly accessible area, providing visitors with interactive opportunities for travel inspiration. This includes virtual destination experiences via VR headsets and a geographical quiz for playfully exploring new travel destinations. An integrated café complements the offering, and a selection of Edelweiss merchandise is available for purchase. This design aims to make the Edelweiss brand and its products tangible.
Concept and Use
The upper floor of the Hub includes additional office spaces, primarily intended for internal Edelweiss purposes. Assessment and training formats are particularly conducted here. Also on this level is the Customer Experience & Product Hub. This facility serves to convey the brand identity, service promise, and entire product range of Edelweiss, illustrating the various touchpoints with the brand along the customer journey.
Patrick Heymann, Chief Commercial Officer of Edelweiss, commented on the strategic importance of the Hub. He emphasised that the Edelweiss Hub was created in collaboration with partners from destinations and tourism organisations as a place for encounter, inspiration, and cooperation. At the same time, the Edelweiss brand, with its holiday destinations and passion for travel, should be made tangible for guests, partners, and employees in an innovative way.
The Edelweiss Hub is open from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:30, with opening hours extended until 20:00 on Thursdays. Currently, presentations until the end of the year focus on destinations such as Las Vegas, the Dominican Republic, and Egypt. Interested visitors had the opportunity to explore the comprehensive offerings of the new experience world during open days on 25 and 26 September 2026.
