Pecuria GmbH, a company specialising in the individual sale of sustainable care apartments, has announced the start of pre-sales and the topping-out ceremony for the senior residence under construction in the Salzmann-Quartier in Kassel. The project is currently under construction and forms an integral part of the Salzmann-Quartier, a comprehensive mixed-use redevelopment project.
The future residence will house a total of 142 fully inpatient care apartments and a day care facility. The operator of this facility will be WH Care Holding GmbH, which is entrusted with the development of the Salzmann-Quartier. Completion of the senior residence is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.
Architectural Integration and Revitalisation
The construction project in the Salzmann-Quartier covers an area of approximately 13 hectares and integrates the listed existing buildings of the former Salzmann spinning mill. The master plan for the district envisages a mix of residential, commercial, and retail uses. The aim of the development is to create a new urban district for Kassel, offering high-quality infrastructure. In addition to the senior residence, the overall project includes a day nursery with two crèche and two kindergarten groups, approximately 300 flats, as well as spaces for offices, practices, and catering.
The location in Kassel-Bettenhausen offers infrastructural advantages. A tram stop is located directly in front of the district, and connection to the A7 motorway is guaranteed. The nearby Fulda riverbank with its nature reserve and an existing Rewe supermarket contribute to the attractiveness of the location.
