On 31 July 2026, the Wittlich Local Court, under file number 7a IN 85/26, opened preliminary insolvency proceedings over Fliesen-Zentrum Deutschland GmbH, located at Louise-Weiss-Straße 6, 54343 Föhren. This measure forms the basis for the now commencing restructuring and the search for external capital providers.

Lawyer Ingo Grünewald from the firm Professor Schmidt, Grünewald und Partner was appointed as preliminary insolvency administrator. Immediately after his appointment, Mr Grünewald, in cooperation with the company's management, initiated the necessary steps to secure operations. He stated that all necessary measures would be taken to stabilise business operations, with the aim of promptly resuming sales so that customers can receive their ordered goods.

Structured Investor Process and Liquidity Safeguarding

The primary objective of the proceedings is to find a suitable investor for the entire business operation, or for substantial parts thereof, as quickly as possible. The investor process initiated for this purpose will be structured and pursued vigorously. Potential interested parties are encouraged to make contact promptly to support the process and enable a sustainable solution.

Employees' wage and salary claims for the months of August, September, and October 2026 are secured by an advance payment of insolvency benefits. This was approved by the Federal Employment Agency and guarantees the financial security of employees during this critical phase. This contributes to maintaining operational capability and securing jobs.

Fliesen-Zentrum Deutschland GmbH, as an entity in the building materials trade, is now required, under the guidance of the preliminary insolvency administrator, to develop a viable future perspective. Efforts are focused on effective restructuring and attracting strategic partners who can strengthen the company in the long term. The real estate market in the Föhren area is observing the further development of these proceedings with interest.
