Jaime Lee, a recognised leader in the real estate sector, is moving to Kennedy Wilson following her long tenure as head of the family business Jamison. At Kennedy Wilson, she will serve as Senior Managing Director, Capital Markets and Investments. Kennedy Wilson, an investment management company based in Beverly Hills, currently manages approximately US$37 billion in assets, divided into equity, credit, and development strategies across the United States and Europe.

In her new position, Jaime Lee will play a key role in capital formation, strengthening relationships with institutional investors and strategic partners, and pursuing investment opportunities across the company's global platform. Her appointment was announced by Kennedy Wilson on Wednesday.

This move follows a career spanning over two decades at Jamison, most recently as CEO. During her time there, Lee was instrumental in expanding the family company's portfolio to approximately 18 million square feet, which included office, multifamily, retail, and medical properties. She also established Jamison as one of the most prominent developers of office-to-residential conversion projects in Los Angeles.

The move to Kennedy Wilson comes less than two months after the company entered into a significant joint venture partnership with Jamison. This partnership aims to create 4,000 affordable housing units in the city, beginning with the conversion of the former World Trade Center in Downtown L.A. into 512 apartments.

Jaime Lee expressed optimism regarding the multifamily segment, similar to her previous stance at Jamison. She stated that investors looking to allocate capital in the next cycle would find particularly promising opportunities in the multifamily sector, where limited supply and stable housing demand created attractive long-term fundamentals.

For her role at Jamison, Lee was regularly featured in the Commercial Observer's "Power SoCal" list. Last year, it was highlighted that Jamison had completed seven adaptive reuse projects since 2013, with three more under construction and ten in the pipeline. In addition to her professional activities, Jaime Lee is also a member of the Executive Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles and serves as a California Coastal Commissioner.
