Newmark has announced strategic personnel decisions in Düsseldorf to strengthen its German Living Capital Markets business and expand its regional presence in the residential investment market. These measures signal a continuation of the company's growth strategy in the German residential real estate investment market.

As part of this expansion, Amir El Moarawi has been appointed Head of Living Capital Markets North Rhine-Westphalia. El Moarawi brings over nine years of experience in real estate consulting in Düsseldorf. His role will be to develop Newmark's residential investment platform in the region, alongside Tim Wiesel and Jan Wallerand.

Experienced Team for NRW

Amir El Moarawi and Senior Vice President Tim Wiesel previously worked together at Colliers, where they were instrumental in expanding the Residential Capital Markets business. This collaboration underscores the strategy of combining experienced forces. Jan Wallerand joins the newly formed division as Vice President. Wallerand came to Newmark last year after spending over four years on CBRE's Residential Investment team.

Marcus Lütgering, Country Head Germany at Newmark, commented on the development. He emphasised that strengthening the team in Düsseldorf expands the regional presence in a market characterised by dynamism and strong investor interest. This reflects the strategic importance of North Rhine-Westphalia for Newmark.

Tobias Köhler, Co-Head of Living Capital Markets Germany at Newmark, highlighted the region's potential. He referred to the economically strong metropolitan regions and the broad investor base in North Rhine-Westphalia, which show significant potential in the residential sector. The team's goal is to support clients with sound local market knowledge and advice.
