ichelle Dardeno has been appointed as the new Financial Controller of the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts (AGC MA), bringing a wealth of experience in organized labor, workforce development, and nonprofit accounting to the role. A seasoned financial leader, Dardeno joins AGC MA from the Massachusetts AFL-CIO, where she served as Comptroller for six affiliated entities.
In this position, Dardeno managed accounting and administrative operations while playing a key role in various organizational initiatives. She also ensured consistent financial compliance and audit readiness. "I've always been passionate about working in the trades," said Dardeno, who began her career as a bookkeeper for an architectural woodworker while attending Lasell College.
Dardeno's expertise in streamlining processes and ensuring accountability will be valuable assets to AGC MA. Her appointment comes at a time when the organization is expanding its support for the commercial construction industry through advocacy, education, and workforce initiatives.
