lexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc. (NYSE: ARE) today announced the commencement of an underwritten public offering of senior notes, subject to market conditions. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, BofA Securities, Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and RBC Capital Markets, LLC will act as joint book-running managers.
The notes will be unsecured obligations of the Company and fully guaranteed by Alexandria Real Estate Equities, L.P., an indirectly 100% owned subsidiary. The net proceeds from this offering are expected to be used to redeem or repay at maturity all or a portion of the Company's 3.45% Senior Notes due 2025.
Pending such use, the Company will invest the net proceeds in high-quality short-term securities and/or use them for general working capital and other corporate purposes. Any excess proceeds will be used for general working capital and other corporate purposes.
