istron InfoComm USA, a subsidiary of Taiwanese tech giant Wistron, has acquired a 324,600-square-foot industrial property at 15200 Heritage Parkway in Fort Worth from Trammell Crow Company. This purchase is believed to be the first step towards establishing two supercomputer plants as part of a $687 million investment plan with Nvidia.
The second plant is expected to be built at Hillwood's Westport 14 site, where tax abatement agreements have already been approved by Fort Worth and Denton County. Wistron plans to renovate the acquired building, with construction potentially starting on August 7.
The project could bring an estimated 888 jobs to the region, according to local government leaders. Wistron has a history of working with major tech companies, including Apple and Nvidia, and is now partnering with Nvidia on U.S.-based supercomputing initiatives as part of a broader push into artificial intelligence.
