AMPI Bacalar Expands National Presence with Real Estate Agent Partnerships

Bacalar, Q.R. -- AMPI Bacalar gains national incorporation status.

T
he Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) in Bacalar has been nationally incorporated, marking a significant step forward for the local real estate sector. AMPI Bacalar President Irvin Osorio Padilla emphasizes their focus on professionalizing the industry and regulating real estate advisors.

Currently, 15 members have joined the association, with plans to add between 15-20 more in the coming months. According to Osorio Padilla, recent months have seen a surge in investment interest from across Mexico, particularly from investors in Mexico City, Monterrey, Chihuahua, and Baja California.

However, the sector faces challenges, including the proliferation of irregular developments. The Secretariat for Urban and Sustainable Territorial Development (Sedetus) has issued alerts regarding several developments lacking permits and authorization to sell. AMPI Bacalar works closely with Sedetus to prevent bad practices and obtain first-hand information.

To avoid real estate fraud, Osorio Padilla advises buyers to verify that their advisors are licensed and part of a recognized association like AMPI. He recommends checking for physical offices and corresponding permits.

AMPI Bacalar will continue promoting the training and regulation of real estate advisors through 2025. The association invites all advisors to join and participate in upcoming training courses.

AMPI Bacalar representatives form partnerships with local real estate agents nationwide.
