BRE Group is strengthening its tenant representation team with the addition of Andy Leatherman, a seasoned commercial real estate expert. As vice chairman of CBRE's advisory and transaction services team in Dallas, Leatherman brings two decades of experience to the role, including nearly $750 million in closed transactions over the past year. His notable achievements include securing a 10-year lease renewal for Bank of America at Hallmark Center I and facilitating Haynes Boone's expansion at Harwood No. 14.
"I'm excited to expand my services to important clients in Dallas," Leatherman said, highlighting his enthusiasm for working in the city. The move comes as CBRE seeks to fortify its operations in a market that is both a leader in real estate investment and development, but also faces challenges such as high office vacancy rates. With around 25% of Dallas' office inventory vacant, landlords are losing out on approximately $1.62 billion in potential rental income annually.
Leatherman's hire follows the departure of prominent CBRE brokers Jeff Ellerman and John Ellerman to Stream Realty last October. Brooke Armstrong, president of advisory services for CBRE in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, praises Leatherman as a "dominant force" in the market after two decades navigating its complexities.
