n western Henrico, a $9 million deal for nearly 150 acres was the top sale in April, but other multimillion-dollar transactions took place in the area's high-end housing market. A 143-acre tract on River Road sold to a mystery buyer through an LLC for $8.25 million, with Whit Wall of The Steele Group | Sotheby’s International Realty representing the sellers.
The property features a 1,100-square-foot house built in 1948 and 3,800 feet of river frontage. It includes two parcels assessed by Henrico at $3.25 million combined, with a total land-use value of $926,500.
Another notable sale was 1833 Monument Ave., a 6,000-square-foot home built in 2007 that sold for $3 million. The house has five bedrooms and bathrooms, a two-car garage, and an elevator. It was renovated in 2021 with the addition of a plunge pool and hot tub.
The West End saw significant sales as well, including 121 E. Hillcrest Ave., which sold for $2.92 million after being listed at $2.79 million. The house has five bedrooms and 4½ bathrooms and features landscaping designed by Charles Gillette.
