Arizona town tops national real estate market rankings

Gilbert ranks among top 10 US real estate markets, according to WalletHub analysis.

G
ilbert, Arizona has been named one of the best real estate markets in the country by WalletHub's latest analysis. According to Melissa Bailey, a local real estate agent, Gilbert offers a family-friendly atmosphere reminiscent of Scottsdale, with its own downtown area featuring restaurants, shops, and shopping centers. Additionally, Gilbert boasts A-rated schools, making it an attractive option for families.

WalletHub compared 300 cities across the US using metrics such as housing affordability, job growth, and median days on market. Gilbert ranked seventh overall, thanks in part to its high median credit score of 747, which can lead to favorable interest rates when buying a home. The town also saw significant appreciation in median home prices, with some areas experiencing up to 40% growth over time.

While Bailey notes that homeowners who purchased within the last two to three years may not yet have sufficient equity to trade up or down, Gilbert's strong real estate market remains a draw for many. Other Arizona communities on the list include Chandler (21st), Peoria (23rd), and Surprise (25th).

Arizona town's thriving real estate market leads national rankings, attracting investors.
