Associated Bank Slinger Branch Sold to New Owner

Associated Bank Slinger Location Sold, Buyer Revealed

A
ssociated Bank's Slinger location, at 300 E. Washington Street, permanently closed on January 31, 2025. The property, a 2.65-acre commercial site, was sold to Steve Kearns on February 28, 2025, for $1,148,800, with an estimated fair market value of $1,159,000.

This closure marks the second bank to leave Slinger, following Horicon Bank's office closure earlier in the fall. The property has a rich history, dating back to the early 20th century when State Bank of Slinger was established on Washington Street and Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive in 1905.

A photo from the Slinger Public Library shows the original site of the State Bank of Schlesingerville around 1906. The bank merged with Farmer's State Bank in 1932, becoming State Bank of Slinger. In 1984, it became Farmer's and Merchants Bank, which eventually merged into Associated Bank in 1992.

The closure leaves a vacant lot on Washington Street, sparking questions about what could replace the long-standing bank. What would you like to see become of this property?
