Real Estate Talks Starts Shoe Drive for WAVI in Rapid City

In its first year, the workshop partnered with WAVI to donate brand‑new shoes to women, teens, and children.

eal Estate Talks, a monthly community workshop in Rapid City, is celebrating its first year of a shoe drive. Partnering with WAVI, the group collected brand‑new shoes for women, teens and children in Pennington County. Co‑founder Courtney Banker explained that a walk‑through with WAVI revealed a wide range of needs, with shoes being the most urgent. Co‑founder Michelle Chenoweth highlighted the workshop’s mission of connection, education and community service, noting that the December initiative was inspired by the upcoming holidays. Co‑founder Spencer Gossel added that the drive is just the beginning; the team will continue to identify and meet local needs. Donations can be dropped off at 909 St. Joseph St., 7th floor, Suite 2A, until Dec. 23.
