ak Grove, Georgia – A 16,500‑sq‑ft estate modeled after Washington’s White House has entered the market at $35 million, the highest price ever listed in the Atlanta area. Built in 2001 by developer Fred Milani, who sent designers to the capital to study the original, the home features a façade that mirrors the executive mansion. Inside, the main house contains six bedrooms, an Oval‑Office‑style study, a guest suite inspired by Lincoln’s bedroom, and formal Neoclassical entertaining rooms. A separate guesthouse, dubbed the “West Wing,” adds seven more bedrooms, giving the property two full dwellings on nearly three acres.
The estate was purchased in 2013 by beauty entrepreneur Thuy Ai Kathy Lam, a Vietnamese immigrant who rose from modest beginnings to build a salon and beauty‑school empire. Lam has called the house a symbol of her journey and the American dream, and she now wishes to pass it on after her children finished college.
Whether buyers will meet the $35 million asking remains to be seen, but the price would eclipse Atlanta’s previous residential record of about $18 million.
