ard College has enlisted JLL as its real estate advisor and broker to relocate its Bard College at Simon's Rock campus from Great Barrington, Massachusetts, to the Massena Campus in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. The move aims to ensure the sustainability of the program while offering greater curricular breadth to students.

    According to Taun Toay, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, "The reality of higher education today requires finding efficiencies wherever possible." Relocating Simon's Rock adjacent to the Bard main campus in New York offers economies of scale while maintaining a separate identity for the student body. JLL will assess the value of the 275-acre property, develop a marketing plan, and work with the College to chart a path forward for its disposition.

    JLL's David Carlos noted that the Simon's Rock campus is a rare institutional asset in one of New England's most desirable markets, offering ready-to-use buildings, entitled educational or residential use, flexible zoning, and an incredible location. The company will leverage its expertise to help Bard achieve a positive resolution and maximize the sales price of the property.

    As part of the relocation, Simon's Rock's core offerings will continue at the Massena Campus, with advanced students having full access to Bard College's courses and campus life. JLL's New York Higher Education Practice has overseen numerous complex real estate assignments for higher education institutions, including the sale of several notable properties in the region.
