Behind the Scenes of the North Pole's Hidden Helpers

Collaboration makes tasks easier.

    The Power of Community

This past Tuesday, I joined members of the Piedmont Garden Club in assisting city workers for "Lights Up Piedmont," a beloved holiday event that brings families together to watch the tree light up in the center of town. Founded in 1969 by the Piedmont Beautification Foundation and other local organizations, this tradition includes hot chocolate, cider, and latkes served by the Chabad Jewish Center.

As a long-time resident, I'm happy to carry on this tradition and contribute my time. The process was surprisingly efficient, with many hands making light work – literally. Our team quickly assembled the strings and passed them off to city workers who had clearly done it before.

In December, Sarah, Jill, Kate, and I will deliver nearly 600 boxes of Little John's toffee as a thank you to our clients, staff, vendors, and friends who've supported us over the years. This task requires more time and effort but also allows us to show appreciation and connect with those around us.

As we gear up for 2025, we're working on properties that will debut in January, February, and March. It takes a team effort to bring these homes and gardens to market, from gathering bids and creating budgets to scheduling workers and inspections. Once the property goes into contract, an army of specialists steers it through escrow, ensuring all documents are signed and funds distributed correctly.

It truly does take a village to achieve success in real estate. I'm grateful to be part of the special community that is Piedmont, and we wish you a warm and safe holiday season.

    How can we help you?
