Bengaluru restaurant's unusual board sparks online interest

Bengaluru restaurant board warns against discussing real estate and politics on premises.

A
Bengaluru restaurant has sparked a buzz on the internet with its unusual signboard that discourages customers from discussing real estate and politics while dining there. The board, spotted at a restaurant in JP Nagar, reads: "This facility is only for dine-in purpose, not for real estate/political discussions. Please understand and cooperate."

It's not an uncommon sight in Bengaluru where groups of people gather to discuss property-related matters over minimal orders. Several users on X noted that many restaurants have similar boards, particularly when customers occupy a table with small orders. Some users joked about the issue, while others questioned why restaurants need to police conversations.

A user who shared the photo said it's more for those who order coffee and sit for long periods discussing politics and real estate. Congress spokesperson Lavanya Ballal Jain wondered why the restaurant needs to intervene in customers' conversations, as they're paying for their food.
