Beverly Park estate of UCLA donors lists for $27 million

UCLA benefactors Nahum and Alice Lainer list Beverly Park estate for $26.5M, a first-time sale of the property they built in 1995.

N
ahum and Alice Lainer, longtime supporters of UCLA athletics, have put their Beverly Park estate on the market for $26.5 million. The 8,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style home was built in 1995 by the couple and is one of the first houses constructed in the gated community that's home to celebrities like Adele, Rod Stewart, Denzel Washington, and Justin Bieber.

The property, listed by Coldwell Banker Realty's Steve Frankel, features four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a pool, gardens, fruit trees, and space for 10 cars. Frankel notes that the estate has attracted strong interest due to its competitive price point in the exclusive neighborhood. "We are getting so much activity on it because we are priced right," he said.

The Lainers' home listing is notable given recent sales in Beverly Park. Last year, Mark Wahlberg's home sold for $55 million after originally asking nearly $88 million, while Sylvester Stallone sold his mansion to Adele for $58 million. A 16,000-square-foot mansion at 51 Beverly Park Way recently went into contract with a $48.5 million ask.

The Lainers have been active in the Los Angeles real estate market this year, having purchased Unit 20C at the Wilshire House for $7.8 million in March. The philanthropic couple has long supported UCLA athletics, establishing a men's basketball scholarship program and contributing to a fund focused on recruiting top coaching talent. In recognition of their gifts, UCLA's athletic director holds the title of The Alice and Nahum Lainer Family Director of Athletics.
