ate Albers, founder of Disaster Management Group, has purchased a Jupiter Inlet Colony mansion for $30.2 million, shattering the town's previous price record. The sale, confirmed by a source, closed on Thursday at 103 Lighthouse Drive, where Albers bought the property from Michael and Kelly Wiener. Devin Teal of Welcome Home Realty International represented the buyer, while Vince Marotta and Tony Hernandez of Illustrated Properties had the listing.
Albers' company specializes in designing disaster relief operations for high-profile clients like the United Nations and U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The 0.7-acre property was previously owned by Michael Wiener, an entrepreneur, and Kelly Wiener, a lawyer, who bought it for $6.1 million in 2020 and built a nearly 8,100-square-foot mansion with five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and various luxury features.
The sellers listed the property for $40 million in July, typically a slow month for sales, but attracted buyers willing to travel from afar due to its high-end appeal. "People of means will make it a priority to come and see it, no matter what time of year," Marotta noted, highlighting the market's resilience at the upper end of pricing.
