    Monte Rio takes the top spot as the most expensive community in Sonoma County, with a median price per square foot of $913 over the past three weeks. On the other end of the spectrum is Cloverdale, where buyers can find relatively affordable homes at a median price of $330 per square foot.

    A recent sale on Whaleship Road in Bodega Bay exemplifies the high prices being paid for homes in the area. A 1,345-square-foot property sold for $1,040,000 over the past three weeks. The data used to compile these figures comes from municipal assessors in Sonoma County and is based on sales registered during the week of November 18.
