n the heart of Peabody, Massachusetts, a vibrant new chapter is unfolding. PEG, a pioneering developer and operator of multifamily, hospitality, and build-to-rent assets, has joined forces with Simon, a leading real estate investment trust, to bring forth the Residence Inn by Marriott Peabody. This ambitious project marks a significant milestone in PEG's Residence Inn Replacement Strategy, aimed at modernizing first-generation properties in high-demand markets.

The property's walkable proximity to these amenities ensures a seamless experience for guests, while its sleek design – featuring Residence Inn's latest Gen 9 prototype – sets a new standard for hospitality.
"We're thrilled to introduce this exceptional hotel to Peabody," said Anthony Maxfield, PEG Development Manager. "Our collaboration with Simon and other trusted partners has enabled us to create a truly unique experience that will benefit both our investors and the local community."
The Residence Inn by Marriott Peabody boasts an impressive array of amenities, including a fitness center, indoor pool, media salons, conference room, and hearth room. With plentiful parking available, guests can enjoy unparalleled convenience and comfort.
Simon's Patrick Peterman, Senior Vice President of Mixed-Use Development, added, "We're excited to welcome the Residence Inn by Marriott at Northshore Mall as a key component of our experiential destination. This hotel will further enhance our position as the region's premier gathering place."
The project team includes McNair Interests, DesignCell Architecture, R.J. O'Connell & Associates, and Callahan Construction. With construction underway, the Residence Inn by Marriott Peabody is expected to open its doors in Fall 2026, marking a new era of hospitality excellence in the region.
